Policy for the association is determined by a Board of Directors and carried out by a professional staff of six, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA. Founded in 1933, PPA is the third largest state association affiliated with the American Psychological Association. We carry out this charge through activities that advocate vigorously for public access to psychological services, that educate and support the professional development of our members, that educate the public through disseminating and applying psychological knowledge, and that maintain and build organizational strength.
