The Department of Psychology, established in 1967, is an intellectually diverse community of scholars engaged in research addressing psychology at the levels of mind, brain, and society. We strive for excellence in our scholarship and teaching, and we seek to cultivate in our students a dedication to the highest standards in their endeavors. The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Washington University was established nearly 100 years ago and remains committed to excellence in the field. We currently support four primary research programs: aging and development; clinical psychology; behavior, brain & cognition; and social and personality psychology, with an additional emphasis on diversity science that cuts across all of these areas of specialization.
Tufts University Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Tufts University conducts cutting-edge research aimed at understanding the causes and consequences of mental processes and behavior. Our work addresses social, cognitive, and neural levels of analysis. We are innovative and interdisciplinary in our approach and emphasize understanding phenomena that have a direct impact on society. Scientists at all levels - faculty, postdoctoral trainees, and graduate and undergraduate students - engage in collaborative scholarship and critical thinking in the classroom and in the laboratory. This synthesis, between research and teaching, positions us to ask and answer fundamental questions while also enriching our students' understanding of psychology.
