Welcome to the Department of Psychological Science at UCI. We are committed to providing high-quality education and research opportunities in psychological science. Students here gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience through interactions with faculty and peers, participating in research projects that lay a solid foundation for their future academic or professional careers. The approximately 1200 undergraduate majors in the Department of Psychological Science begin their program of study with core courses in developmental, social, health, and abnormal psychology. Advanced courses cover specialized topics in these fields, as well as in environmental, clinical, and community psychology. A number of advanced courses delve into the psychological aspects of important societal issues and problems, such as child abuse, violence, divorce, work and family, and community health. Undergraduates also gain rigorous training in research methods and statistics.
The School of Psychology at the University of Kent makes significant contributions to local communities through volunteering, research, and public service, while enhancing the experience of staff and students through international links.
Our department has three graduate programs that lead to a PhD—clinical, social-personality, and developmental psychology. We also have an undergraduate psychology major and several psychology minors.
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Case Western Reserve University combines the strengths of psychology and communication sciences, offering two undergraduate majors in Psychology and Communication Sciences, as well as two minors in Psychology and Communication for Health Professionals.
