Agency for Volunteer Service
The Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) was established in 1970 as a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to promoting volunteer participation and providing value-added and quality volunteer services. Funding is sourced from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Community Chest of Hong Kong, the Charities Trust Fund of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and donations from various sectors.

AVS has been approved by the Social Welfare Department to hold the territory-wide Flag Day on July 12, 2025. The funds raised will be used to promote volunteer services. Additionally, AVS has received a grant from the Home Affairs and Youth Bureau to produce a national security education promotional video to enhance public awareness of national security.

As a non-governmental and non-subsidized organization, it relies on fundraising and donations to cover its expenses. Through various educational activities, it aims to raise public awareness about mental health and provide information, referral services, and counseling for those in need.
