The Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) is the official American Psychological Association (APA) affiliate for the Southwestern region of the United States, dedicated to promoting and strengthening psychology's scientific, professional, and educational facets.
Founded in 1954, SWPA serves the psychological community by providing access to scientific advances and professional development within a collegial atmosphere. It hosts an annual convention featuring paper and poster sessions, workshops, symposia, and invited talks, welcoming both professionals and students as active participants.
